The five-step referral process
Each step has a clear owner. WorkHoop coordinates the handoff — it does not perform the customer's service.
- 01
Opportunity received
A business receives a customer inquiry for work it cannot or does not want to take — too small, too large, out of area, or outside its specialty.
Original Business - 02
Opportunity referred
Instead of simply saying no, the business submits the opportunity to WorkHoop through the referral process.
Original Business → WorkHoop - 03
WorkHoop reviews it
WorkHoop reviews the details of the opportunity to understand what the customer needs and what kind of business may be suited to take it.
WorkHoop - 04
Suitable provider identified
WorkHoop works to connect the opportunity with an appropriate participating business that may be able to take the job.
WorkHoop → Participating Provider - 05
Opportunity fulfilled
The matched business works directly with the customer to fulfill the job. When an eligible referred job is completed, referral revenue may be shared with the original referring business.
Participating Provider → Customer
Three businesses. One opportunity.
WorkHoop sits between the business that has the opportunity and the business that may take it. The receiving provider works directly with the customer to fulfill the job — WorkHoop does not perform the service itself.
Original Business
Receives the job, refers it to WorkHoop.
WorkHoop
Reviews and works to match the opportunity.
Participating Provider
Takes the job and works directly with the customer.
Customer
Gets the work completed by the matched provider.
Important: WorkHoop is a referral and matching network. The participating provider — not WorkHoop — works directly with the customer to complete the job.
